- Debian is a stable good systems
- Red Hot Enterprise Linux (RHEL) is mostly used for companies, has restrictions and has a different package manager (RPM) than Debian systems
- Ubuntu is the most popular for personal use, Debian based
- Fedora : based on RHEL, but free and accessible by all
- Linux Mint : like Ubuntu but lighter, less bloated
- Gentoo : for power users; uses different file management system called Portage
- Arch Linux : fully open-source, total control of the system, Pacman for file management, lightweight and hardcore. Great for Raspberry Pi
- openSUSE : uses RPM file management, fully capable for safe internet etc
- ParrotOS / Kali : good for cyber-security professionals
